ArmaTrex Medical Splint – META
Current practices and medical splinting devices available and utilised are challenging and slow to use and apply, and requires extensive medical expertise; is expensive, requiring costly maintenance and servicing, specifically in the case of the Vacuum splint devices. There is an ever-increasing demand for a simple to use and affordable splinting system that can be easily transported and supplied.

The ArmaTrex META (Medical Emergency Trauma Appliance) splint system can be used by any layman and non-medical trained person, used at the point of injury the ArmaTrex splint provides immediate support enabling the injured person to be transported from trauma to triage and through the triage system efficiently.
ArmaTrex utilises expanding foam technology to form a semi-rigid splint offering a lightweight void fill, clean and low-cost medical device, which immobilises and supports the injury, applied at the scene of the incident and providing support whilst in transit.
ArmaTrex META (Medical Emergency Trauma Appliance)
ArmaTrex META is a lightweight solution, flexible and easy to use, the sealed disposable system is very effective, minimises disruption to the damaged limb, saves time, and is easily activated to form a cushioned unique custom-fit to the injury and which be applied by a layman or even self-administered.
The ArmaTrex META splint weighs approximately 165 grams. The splint is removed from the biodegradable packaging, the user unfolds the splint envelope and through downward pressure activates the foam, continuing to twist the envelope, like ‘wringing a tea towel’, whereupon the foam starts to form in the META envelope.
The META splint is then applied to the limb as the foam gently starts to expand, hold the META in place and secure in place by the attached two cohesive tape strips. The splint continues to expand gently forming and shapes to the limb in a C Shaped support, providing immediate support within 3 minutes, immobilising and stabilising.
ArmaTrex META Splint is a MDR Class 1 Medical device compliant under MHRA, a lightweight splinting solution, flexible and easy to use, the sealed disposable system is effective, minimises disruption to the damaged limb, is easily applied to form a cushioned unique custom-fit to an injury, can be applied by a layman or even self-administered and is 100% disposable (as clinical waste – Controlled Waste Regulations 1992).
